Whether you decide to split it all over three days or do it all in one and relax for the rest, there is so much for you, your friends and family to get up to at Spring Camp in April. Get ready to get your hands dirty, your adrenaline rushing and your brain buzzing.
This weekend is all about adventurism - learning, crafting, cooking and competing in the great outdoors.
Raft Building
Get your friends and family together to build a raft and race the course on the lake. Can you make it float and stay dry? Or will you end up in the drink!
Each session cateres for 6 teams of up to 8 people. There's an additional charge for this activity, sign up at the information point on arrival.
Camp Fire Sessions
Huddle around the camp fire, sing songs and toast marshmallows.
This is free to enter, limited to 30 people per session, book your spot in advance or with us at the Tuck Shop. Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
For taking part in this activity you will also earn a special Spring Camp patch.
Go Big…Save Big with the Big Adventure Ticket.
Experience the two biggest fear factor activities at Spring Camp as well as Kayaking, Climbing and Caving.

Steve England. Five-time award-winning conservationist. Forager, wild food educator and sustainable foraging advocate. Born to be wild!
Steve joins us on Saturday to share with you a sample of his seasonal food foraging workshops where you can learn, identify, sample & forage tasty snacks from taken from around the River Dart Country Park.
Badger’s Running Club returns.
Start the day on the front foot and join us for a 5k run around the park grounds. All abilities and ages welcome, dogs too! (U16’s accompanied by an adult). Setting off at 09:00 on Saturday morning, we'll do a 5k loop around the park with a nice pot of coffee and water waiting for you on your return.
This activity will also earn you a special Spring Camp badge.
Bushcraft and Knot making Workshops.
Wander outside your comfort zone and try something new. These workshops will be running all day Saturday and Sunday. There is no charge for this, it's one of the many activities included in your ticket price.
By participating you can also pick up one of the woven Spring Camp activity patches. Collect them all to become a real Spring Camp Champ.
We are really excited to introduce Junk Jodie Art and Storytelling to the line up.
Jodie will be with us on Saturday and Sunday with her wonderful story telling shows as well as daytime craft workshops.
Please note that children must be supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times during the shows and workshops.
The Spring Camp Games:
The House Championship brings the whole camp together creating so much laughter, friendship and long lasting memories.
Go head to head with your friends and family against fellow Spring Campers. The House Games encourages everyone to work together and collaborate with campers from different groups, making new Spring Camp Buddies along the way. Participate in activities, earn points for your House and collect badges to take home with you.
Climbing Wall and Caving.
Located on the tarmac area by the Old Saw Mill, come and have a go on the rock climbing walls and caving.
Friday: 17:30 - 20.00

Baby Rockers
Kids music workshop - Sing songs, play games and tell stories all built around rock, indie and pop classics. Forget "Twinkle Twinkle"! The ultimate family music group where your little rockstars can jam out to the tunes you love, reimagined for kids.
We sing songs (think AC/DC. The Killers, Oasis rather than Twinkle Twinkle and Miss Rachel)
Canoe Hire.
Take a moment to breathe in the nature and relax in a canoe on one of the lakes. Paddle out in a Native American Indian type canoe.
Safety equipment provided for up to 3 people in a boat for 30 minutes of wet fun.
Capacity of up to 3 persons (From £10 per boat & equipment) Minimum age is 2 but must fit in safety equipment.
Last year the Honey Badger were crowned House Champions. Can they defend their title or will you help your house lift the trophy?
In addition to the sports day games on Saturday there are lots of other small fun and games for all ages to take part in and earn house points.
Please note that this is not a compulsory part of Spring Camp, it's just for fun and there's no pressure to take part.
The Roller Disgoat. Funky tunes on the move and DJ lessons for Kids!
The Roller Disgoat will be joining us on Saturday and Sunday, providing some laid back funky beats as well as offering the little ones a chance to get behind the decks and see how it all works. What could possibly go wrong!
Simon Dyer - BBQ techniques, tips and tricks with some tasty treats to sample.
Steak Tasting.
What's the tastiest cut of steak? It might not be what you think. Try Simon's blindfolded taste test and see how well you know your steaks!
Kids - gather round a Swedish Candle and toast some marshmallows and strawberries.
Live Music
Live performances from local artists throughout the weekend. As Spring Camp is more laid back than your average festival, so to is our music policy.
Performances by Sam Tanner, Rhys Davies, Lee Patterson and more. There are also music sessions for kids and the GOAT of funky beats - the Roller Discgoat.
Craft Workshops. Make, Creat, Keepsakes.
Test your creative side. We have a host of creative workshops for all to enjoy. Art, crafts, glass art and macrame. Make a glass heart in the glass art workshop (age 8 and above), decorate a dream catcher or make a Macrame leaf to take home and decorate your house with.
The workshops will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The sessions are drop in, so just arrive when it suits you to take part and create. There's an additional charge for some of these activities, sign up on arrival.
Duck Races
We’ll be running two rubber duck races on Sunday 26th April at Spring Camp.
Race 1. Colour Run, just for fun.
Come and decorate a duck on Saturday and race it against everyone else’s crazy creations on Sunday.
Race 2. Charity Race.
Pick a number between 1 and 100. Each duck is £5. The winner of the race wins £50 with all remaining proceeds going to charity.
Introducing Party Peeps. The best Family Rave in the South West.
Competitions and dance offs, action dances and giveaways with interactive hosts.
Fancy dress, glow sticks, uv paint, big bold and bright colours all encouraged.
Party Peeps will be bringing the energy on Saturday from 18:00
Slip n Slide
Come get wet & wild on the Slip n Slide.
Make sure you remember to pack your bathers.
No need to shower, just take a running jump and slide for fun, slip n slide sessions will be running on Saturday and Sunday.
Explore the Moor
If you're an experienced rider and would like to see what the trails are like around the River Dart we have a couple of groups riding out on Saturday with spaces for you to join.
Riders need to be regular off road cyclists with a well serviced bike and happy to ride at their own risk.
Lego Building
Lego masters…assemble.
Come and make some fantastic creations with the worlds favourite bricks.
Build for fun or submit your creations to be in with the chance of winning some fantastic prizes. Open to adults and kids.
BMX & Mountain Bike Pump Track.
The pump track is free to use, easy to access and is great for all ages and abilities. Perfect for those little thrill seekers.
Dartmoor Bike Park.
For the more advanced rider, you’ve got to check this out. The skills area consists of four runs graded from blue to orange. For prices & information CLICK HERE
Crafting, Colouring and Board Games.
Some kids, and adults too, just like the simple things in life. Colouring and crafting can be really theraputic too. There is a craft area that is full of free to use craft supplies and board games to enjoy. Build a Jenga tower or paint a pretty picture to take home.
Dam Pool.
Hours and hours of wholesome fun to be had here. Can you take the jump off the edge, make the distance and grab hold of the rope swing? Once you've made it...can you make it back to the edge? Or will you be dropping into the dam?!
Don't forget your wetsuits.
The park has a lovely lake that people can swim and paddle board in. There’s an assault course acorss the water, which is much harder than it looks! There are also areas on the River Dart that you can free swim. This is for advanced swimmers/free swimmers only.
